Wood is a living material
Wood naturally changes with the seasons and reacts to temperature, light, and humidity.
This is part of the material's charm – and one of the things that makes each piece of furniture unique.
🧽 Soft Cleaning
Always wipe furniture with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
🛡️ Protect the surface
Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh cleaning agents.
☀️ Avoid direct heat 💧 Remove liquid quickly
Wipe up liquids and use coasters under hot items, glasses, and vases.

Treatment & Maintenance
Wax gives the wood a warm, soft, and natural look, enhancing the material's structure and depth.
Maintenance
Clean the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth – it cannot tolerate much moisture. The surface can be refreshed as needed with a thin layer of furniture wax to maintain its luster and protection.
Important to know
Waxed surfaces are more sensitive to liquids, heat, and fats than lacquered surfaces. If liquid is allowed to sit on the surface, stains or white marks may appear – especially on tabletops and other surfaces in daily use.
For dining tables and countertops, we therefore often recommend a more protective surface treatment such as matte lacquer.
Furniture treated with matte water-based lacquer has a natural and subdued look, while the surface is protected in everyday use.
The matte lacquer preserves the wood's natural character and at the same time makes the furniture more resistant to normal wear and tear.
Maintenance
Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and mild soap as needed. The surface usually requires minimal maintenance, but after a few years, it can be refreshed with suitable furniture care products or special products for lacquered wood surfaces.
Care Products
As a general rule, we recommend mild care products intended for lacquered furniture. Avoid products containing silicone or strong solvents.
Oil-based varnish combines the warmth and depth of the wood with a more durable and protective surface. Primarily used for our coloured products so they can better withstand outdoor conditions.
This finish often gives a more saturated and vibrant look, where the wood's grain and colour variations are clearly highlighted.
Maintenance
Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. If necessary, use mild soap designed for wooden furniture.
To maintain the surface's lustre and protection, the furniture can be treated with furniture polish or care products suitable for oil-treated or varnished wooden surfaces.
Natural Variations
Wood is a natural material, and variations in colour, grain, and surface are a natural part of the product's appearance.
Small cracks, irregularities, and changes in the wood's surface naturally occur over time and contribute to giving the furniture its unique character and authenticity.
No two pieces of furniture are exactly alike
Wood is a natural material.
Colour variations, small cracks, patination and variations in the structure are a natural part of the furniture's expression and history.
