At Sjælsø Living, we believe the finest materials are those that have already lived a life.
Time leaves behind something that cannot be recreated. Years of use, sunlight, rain and skilled craftsmanship create textures, tones and patina that make every material unique.
For us, materials are more than a foundation for furniture. They bring warmth, authenticity and stories into every home.
From India to Denmark
Many of our materials and original finds come from Rajasthan in northern India, where we have worked closely with local families and skilled craftsmen for many years.
Together, we source reclaimed timber, original furniture and vintage objects that are carefully restored and given a new purpose while preserving their history and character.
Wood with a History
Much of the wood we use has already served another purpose.
It may have been part of old buildings, scaffolding, doors or traditional constructions before beginning a new chapter as furniture or home décor.
The marks left by time, weather and everyday use are preserved, giving each piece its own distinctive character.
