B2B business terms and conditions
A purchase is binding when the customer has received an order confirmation from Sjælsø Living. We always recommend reviewing the order confirmation for any errors or omissions.
It is the customer's responsibility to inform us of special circumstances regarding delivery, including closing days, changed opening hours, or other delivery preferences — preferably already when placing the order or at the latest before the day of dispatch.
All prices and order confirmations are exclusive of shipping costs, unless otherwise agreed. Final shipping costs are calculated upon dispatch.
All prices are exclusive of VAT and shipping unless otherwise stated.
First orders may require prepayment. Standard payment terms are 14 days net from the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Special items and custom productions require prepayment. In case of overdue payment, interest will be charged in accordance with current legislation.
The goods remain the property of Sjælsø Living until full payment has been received.
Goods are dispatched from the warehouse in Kirke Hyllinge as EXW (Ex Works), unless otherwise agreed.
Stock items are usually delivered within 2-3 working days in Denmark, but delivery time can be up to 8 working days during busy periods.
For deliveries abroad, customs, import VAT, and local duties are handled by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed. For deliveries to Norway, DAP (Delivered at Place) according to Incoterms® 2020 is generally used.
In Denmark, we offer free shipping for purchases over DKK 3,500 excluding VAT. This does not apply to discounted items or special deliveries.
For Sweden, Norway, and Germany, we offer to cover 50% of shipping costs for purchases over SEK/NOK 6,000 and EUR 600, respectively.
Special rates for non-bridged islands and additional deliveries may occur and will be invoiced to the customer. The customer is responsible for being able to receive the delivery at the agreed address.
An environmental surcharge of 1% will be calculated on the invoice amount in Denmark.
Upon receipt of damaged goods, the shipping company must be informed immediately, and the damage noted on the waybill or shipping documents.
Sjælsø Living works with three main product categories:
• Originals & Found Objects – original vintage finds and unique items
• Reclaimed Materials – products made from old materials such as wood and metal
• Recrafted Objects – old materials or objects transformed for new functions
Many of our products are handmade, made from old materials or original vintage finds. Variations in size, color, structure, finish, patina and expression are therefore a natural part of the products' character and authenticity.
Products with the same item number will not necessarily be identical, and Sjælsø Living can therefore not guarantee that the delivered product will appear exactly as shown on the webshop, catalogue or at trade fairs.
Small cracks, unevenness, old repairs, traces of previous use, and natural variations in wood and metal are not considered defects or grounds for complaint, but rather part of the products' history and charm.
We also note that wood is a living material that can change character over time depending on the surroundings, temperature, and humidity. Products with iron or metal may develop rust and patina over time.
Our products are generally not manufactured for permanent outdoor use, unless otherwise stated.
Products supplied by Sjælsø Living should be considered unique, and Sjælsø Living cannot, in accordance with the information above, accept complaints solely due to a discrepancy between the product seen and the product purchased.
Remember to keep the original packaging, as the item must be returned in its original packaging in the event of a complaint or damage.
In case of incorrect deliveries or damaged goods, Sjælsø Living must be contacted as soon as possible and within 8 days of receiving the goods.
We are not liable for indirect losses or damages caused by incorrect use or storage. Product liability follows applicable law.
Danish law applies. Disputes are to be settled at the City Court of Copenhagen.
We collect and store necessary company and contact information to process orders. Information is only shared with shipping partners.
