The Story Behind It – From Cold Ice Moulds to Warm Candlelight
Good and playful ideas often appear when you least expect them. We came across an old, rusty iron box filled with long, narrow tubes and immediately became curious. Not knowing what they were, we asked our supplier for an explanation.
The tubes turned out to be ice moulds used for making ice pops, commonly sold at local markets. The moulds were placed in a box filled with crushed ice to keep the ice pops cold and ready for sale. The iron box itself was worn and rusted from years of use.
As we stood there discussing how the old moulds could be reused, the idea of turning them into candle holders suddenly emerged. All they needed was a small iron base. That same evening, a prototype was ready for approval.
Today, these once cold ice moulds have been transformed into warm candle holders with history, soul, and a truly unique expression.
