Since 2015, when Mette Holst-Andersen founded the company, our mission has been clear: to give pre-loved furniture and sustainable interior items a new life in contemporary Nordic design.
We love discovering authentic pieces with personality – whether it’s a beautiful natural patina, a quirky detail, or timeless craftsmanship. From recycling centers and trusted suppliers to hidden treasures found along the way, every item in our collection is carefully selected for its originality.

Sjælsø Living started after a journey to India, where we discovered incredible products just waiting to be found. Since day one, we have worked closely in India, building strong relationships with our local partners. They excel at sourcing vintage furniture and interior pieces in India, alongside reclaimed materials that are repurposed. The wood frequently originates from old structures, ships, scaffolding, and similar sources. Utilizing these aged materials ensures they are recycled rather than discarded.
