Welcome to a world of unique furniture and interiors — from original vintage finds to pieces crafted from old, reclaimed materials. Since 2015, when Mette Holst-Andersen founded Sjælsø Living, our mission has been to bring beautiful, pre-loved items back to life in Nordic homes.

We love the thrill of the hunt — especially in India, where old furniture and characterful interiors wait on markets and recycling yards, ready for a new chapter. These are pieces with patina, quirks, and handcrafted details that tell their own story.

Our collection is created with deep respect for the original and a love for the imperfect. We believe that interiors with history make a home feel more alive, personal, and inspiring.

Our products fall into three categories:

Originals
These are genuine vintage pieces — true one-of-a-kind items that have been carefully sourced and gently restored to preserve their authentic charm. From cabinets and jars to trays and benches, each piece carries its own patina, quirks, and history. Read more here.

Recycling
We design our own furniture and interiors using reclaimed materials. We reuse wood, metal, and other elements to create unique products — tables, shelves, stools, and more. We have a special love for old wood, shaped by time and its past life — perhaps from a ship, scaffolding, or an abandoned house. Sjælsø Living started after a journey to India, where we discovered incredible products just waiting to be found. Since day one, we have worked closely in India, building strong relationships with our local partners.
