Wall shelf in recycled wood with open front - Green vintage finish | Recycled Collection

Wall shelf in recycled wood with open front

This spacious wall shelf is crafted from solid recycled wood and finished with Sjælsø Living's signature dusty green vintage finish. The open front allows for easy access to the contents, while the decorative wooden slats keep books, glasses, spices, or baskets securely in place.

With its wide shelf and practical depth, it is both a decorative and functional storage solution that fits perfectly in the kitchen, hallway, bathroom, or summer house.

Green vintage finish – developed by Sjælsø Living

The shelf is finished with a dusty green vintage finish developed by Sjælsø Living.

The hand-applied surface is executed with intentional signs of wear, so the wood's natural texture and history remain visible. The result is a soft, patinated finish with plenty of warmth and character, giving the shelf an authentic and timeless expression.

Recycled wood with a history

At Sjælsø Living, we believe in preserving the materials that already exist. Therefore, this shelf is made from old recycled wood, which often originates from old houses, scaffolding, and ships.

Variations in wood species, structure, and patina are a natural part of the material's character and make each shelf unique.

Practical storage with many possibilities

The extra depth of 19 cm provides space for more than traditional wall shelves.

Use it for spice jars, cookbooks, porcelain, or storage jars in the kitchen, for baskets and towels in the bathroom, or for keys, hats, and small items in the hallway. The open front makes the contents easily accessible while keeping them safely in place.

Use the wall shelf, for example:

• For spices, glasses, and cookbooks
• For ceramics and decorative arrangements
• In the bathroom for bottles and towels
• In the hallway for storing everyday small items
• In the summer house for practical and decorative storage

Why we choose recycled wood

Recycled wood is a material with a history. By giving existing wood a new life, we preserve both the beautiful traces of its previous use and the respect for the resources that already exist.

The old wood develops a natural patina over time and a vibrant expression that makes every piece of furniture special. Small variations in color, structure, and wood species are part of the material's character and should not be considered defects, but as part of the furniture's history.

Recycled Collection

The result is timeless furniture with warmth, authenticity, and a calm Nordic expression.
